Maps

Here are a trio of maps designed to make finding Carleton-In-Craven Village Hall and Skipton Castle easier to find. I will admit that none of them could be described as a thing of beauty, but hopefully they'll get the job done. Click on any of the maps for a bigger version.

The first shows the three routes into Carleton and the road you should follow to get to the Village Hall and the available parking. This will be well signposted on the day.

The second map shows the roads around Skipton Castle, for those that intend to drive straight there. The castle is set back from the road and not accessible by car.

The third map depicts the area around Skipton Castle in relation to the nearest parking and the pedestrian entrance.

We look forward to seeing you on the day.

Food & Drink

We are looking forward to sharing an afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and other cakes with everyone at the village hall during our reception. However, we would welcome any contributions of yummy eats (sweet or savoury) towards this feast! We will have lashings of tea and coffee on tap, some fizz for the toasts and a little wine and beer for everyone to enjoy. We will have plenty of glasses available, but would advise you might want to bring some of your preferred tipple with you to ensure you have what you would like on tap.

We would advise everyone to have some lunch before joining us at 1.30pm for the bus to the castle as we won't be eating tea until around 4.30 / 5pm on the day, and we all know that wedding fun can work up quite an appetite. Drinks will be served at the castle, after the ceremony, with non-alcoholic alternatives available.

Throughout the afternoon and evening, our local, The Swan, which is just over the road from the village hall, are happy for drinks to be purchased and taken back to the venue. They also serve a selection of very reasonably priced hot food throughout the day, should anyone wish to take advantage of this: http://www.theswaninncarleton.com/menu/
